Written on holiday in Cornwall. Starcross was the name of a little town our train passed through and reminded me of Romeo and Juliet. Combine this with standing stones, memories from a completely different time and magic all around and this is the result.

Lyrics
ANOTHER CHANCE
Never knew what a loser laughed like, until you said “i win”
Never knew how to play a part, until you stripped me of my skin
To be the victim you needed me to be, the poor boy that set you free
Because he couldn’t give, not if he tried,
And never would have been able to keep you satisfied
Ever since you said that you cannot be my friend
You helped me find myself again
And ever since you said that you cannot forgive
I accept each day as another chance
Another chance …
Never knew what a lover left like, until you showed me how it’s done
Never knew how to be a happy single, until you made me into one
You never failed to see in others what you couldn’t notice in yourself
Still, i never meant to hurt you for something that maybe you never even did
Ever since you said that you cannot be my friend
You helped me find myself again
And ever since you said that you cannot forgive
I accept each day as another chance
Another chance to …
I know you need a reason, but i can’t give you one
Don’t ask me for a reason to account for what i’ve done
I know you want to call it treason, but it was only to myself
If you want to call it reason, go feel sorry for yourself
Ever since you said that you cannot be my friend
You helped me find myself again
And ever since you said that you cannot forgive
A accept each day as another chance
Another chance to live
Most of my break-ups in the past have been quite ‘good’. This one wasn’t. It was very messy, at least in my head.
